Dublin Town

An afternoon and evening in Dublin, and I was as underwhelmed as I though I might be. That’s the trouble with many cities nowadays, bland uniformity means you could be anywhere. Which probably goes to explain the ‘needle’ in the centre. I wasn’t the first to ask ‘what’s the point’?

So we took the opportunity to do something we rarely do, and went to the cinema to see the latest Bond movie, Spectre. Very much the usual formula, although whilst I enjoy Daniel Craig in the role, he even seemed to be a bit tired of it. Not much humour here, and I think he’s starting to carry some dating drug with him to woo the ladies, as charm seems to have gone out the window. Worrying for the consent based approach to sex, if you move in for the kiss even when the lady doth protest.

Cheers
Dave
