Edinburgh

This morning our friends arrived and we colleges them from the airport, and then headed into the city. I’ve been to Edinburgh before for work, but remember nothing of the visit, even though I was in Princes Street. I don’t even remember seeing the castle, which was directly opposite. Bizarre.

Anyway, we started with a fancy lunch in The Dome, a fabulously decadent restaurant in George Street. The place was decked out ready for Christmas, and looked lovely. Good was great too!

We spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around the main streets before heading off to Linlithgow to find our holiday cottage, home for the next few days. We will probably return to the city in a day or two to explore further.
