No sooner did I mention in the last post that there was no snow on the road, when just around the next bend, there was! Just a sprinkling in a sheltered pocket, and not enough to loose traction, but will need to take care on the way down!
The map shows the route covered, from Pech along the D522 for 17kms, or 10.8 miles in old money, according to my trip computer.
There are some VTT (MTB) tracks from this point, there is a handy info board right next to where I am sitting, so may need to scrutinise. Maybe half an hour of rough stuff? Then the descent back to the tin can, which shouldn’t take more than half an hour.
