I’ve decided to head back rather than go all the war to the end of the line. I was probably about 15-20 miles short but by the time you do that again to come back, it would have taken the fun out of it. Up here on the plateau there are very few places that you could comfortably pitch a tent given that the ground is unrelentingly stoney. I’d completed 80 miles on the outbound since leaving Mel at the van yesterday, so not too shabby.

I’m now back at the disused station as Teruel. There are similar hovels to what I stayed in last night, but some are truly palatial with multiple rooms cut into the rock by the sidings. The iPhone camera unfortunately won’t capture them.

I’ve now got a 15kms climb back up the hill towards where I stayed last night, the. It’s all downhill from there. I doubt I will try to get back this evening without a lot of night riding so will probably opt to stop in the nice little des-res I spotted yesterday.
