The Cirque de Litor is a thin strip of Tarmac that hugs the sheer mountain side, with a couple of tunnels bashed through to rock where necessary. Reminds me of the opening scene from The Italian Job, although wrong location. Apparently the cows lie down in the road as its the only flat land around, and take shelter in the tunnels in bad weather, which would make for a surprising hazard. None for me today, but plenty of evidence, if you know what I mean!
