This is a hunting lodge perched on top of a hill called Cerro Rellana. They seem to be big into hunting all over rural Spain, but then perhaps no more so than we are in the UK. This seems pretty elaborate though giving a commanding view over the surrounding hillsides. Not sure what they hunt around here, I don’t know if this is boar country, I thought that was more in the north of Spain. There are partridge type birds nesting, as the noise of the bike is flushing a few out as I pass.
Note that I’ve decided to ‘go naked’ with the bike today, carrying a backpack with the essentials do I’m a bit more agile.
Hi Dave
Nice pics of the park. Just in case you are still wondering, the building is a fire lookout.
David, thanks, I had always wondered quite what it’s purpose was!
