When you are not connected to 3G or Wifi and you try to access the Mail App on iPhone or iPad, you get an alert pop up over what you are doing to tell you it can’t access the server. Not a bad solution to remind you of the need to have a connection (or that there is a server error), but now multiply it by the number of mail accounts you have configured. In my case about 10, so 10 popups to dismiss in turn
The status bar already has an indicator to show if there is a network connection, so why is Mail trying to make a connection to the server with no network connection is available? Other apps achieve this simple test, so why not Apple Mail?
mega annoying!!!! this is exactly what killes my nerves all the time! any solution how to stop these alerts?
