The weather not so good today, but managed to stay dry but the general misty greyness took the edge off some of the views. We covered about 9 miles in a loop from the campsite at Longnor Wood to the pretty village of Hollinsclough, the a loop around to the north if Chrome Hill, which stands starkly against the surrounding mellow hills. It’s serrated spine means it’s locally known as the Dragons Back.
Because if the greyness and damp ground we decided against an assault on the summit, not much point without a view and the limestone gets pretty slick. Not must chance of injury, but a soft landing in all the sheep shite was not top if the agenda.
