Nothing to report today, apart from unnecessary wetness. The forecast was for light rain for most of the day, so we decided against trying to get to the coast, and thought it would be nice to stay in and do some work for a change.
For that I needed an electrical hookup, so we drove a few miles to an Aire that should have had power. It turned out to be a municipal campsite that was devoid of life, but at least the hookups were working. There was a phone number to call, but we figured that if someone came we’d just plead ignorance and pay up.
So we sat there all day, me on the laptop and Mel on wire bending, and enjoyed the view of hills cropped short by low cloud.
As we’d driven up to quite an altitude on a steep road full of hairpin bends, we decided it imprudent to stay the night in case the rain turned to snow as the temperature dropped (only 4 degrees by day). After sticking a couple of Euro’s In the postbox, we beetled back down to the same stop as the previous night, although this has no power, unless you want to sit it the toilet block all night (not possible to park close enough to run a lead).
