Came across this desirable little pad but sadly a little too early in the day. It might serve well for tomorrow night on the return journey. It had a working door, a complete roof (though probably not watertight) and a fireplace! It’s even got a patio and a well in the garden! Plenty of evidence that people had stayed before, so definitely worth a punt if I’m in the right place at the right time.
There a quite a few little buildings like this along the route as well as old station buildings, although most are in a sorry state of repair. This one was definitely habitable!
