A few pictures from Venice. Not seen anyone eating a Cornetto in a Gondola yet, which surely seems odd? Anyway, suffice to say it ranks as the nicest city we’ve been to so far. Could definitely spend some time here, but having to keep my head down a bit with work, and we’ve got to move north in the next day or so to meet with Mel’s sister Sarah and nephew Angus in Innsbruck. So heading for the mountains and hopefully some skiing and walking.
One reason why Venice is so appealing, water aside, is the complete lack of cars. Having the motorised transport limited to the water, which you are not likely to just step into, is a great idea. Town planners could learn a thing or two. But then there is also not very much in the way of water traffic either, so that probably helps a lot.
Looks fabulous!
