Perhaps adult hunter-gatherers are more like physically active children than adults in modern urban societies. Maybe this is one of the reasons why adult hunter-gatherers have much less body fat. Take a look at the photo below [taken] from Wikipedia. It was reportedly taken in 1939, and shows three Australian aboriginals.

The Paleo Diet is great. Eat well all of the time, and skipping the odd meal is much less of a chore (the reduced Carb dependence stops hunger being quite such a crisis). Nice analogy in the article about active versus sedentary kids, and also I think correlates well with adult activity – you are happier to delay or skip the meal when you are actively engaged in a physical task.
